Mixed hotel and retail development in Soho, London W1
Firmdale Hotels Limited were seeking a leasing advisor on the retail / restaurant units within their new Ham Yard development comprising a new 5-star luxury boutique hotel with 13 retail / restaurant units all beautifully designed around a central public courtyard.
After a competitive tender to appoint a retail property advisor including niche retail agencies and international property advisors, Firmdale chose twentyretail as sole leasing agents in December 2013. The brief from Firmdale was to lease their commercial units to retailers and businesses who would be unusual, quirky and would compliment the brand and match the demographic profile of its guests. The client felt twentyretail understood their brief exactly and would seek out the unusual and interesting retailers from both the UK and abroad to take space within Soho's most recent new retail destination.
After a successful marketing campaign and following completion of the development in June this year, 11 of the 13 units are fitting out or trading with the final retail unit in solicitors hand and a new Japanese restaurant completing its fitout and due to open November 2014.
The occupiers include Frescobol Carioca, Dinosaur Designs, Soholistic, Brummells of London, Anabela Chan Joaillerie , Bloomsbury Flowers, Press London, My Cup of Tea, Caramel and Once Milano. The final retail unit is under offer to Jac and Jack for their first store outside of Australia and the restaurant unit is being fitted out by Salt Group of Japan for their first restaurant outside of Japan. An eclectic and fascinating mix of businesses who will bring a new vibrancy to this part of Soho.
